Competition Conditions (18)

      Greensomes

1.   Competitions will be held in accordance with the R&A Rules of Golf and the Whetstone Competition Rules as published.

2.   Handicap Allowance will be in accordance with Appendix  1 (iv) of the WHS  manual.  Ie Team Playing Handicap will be :-

Take the lower handicapped player’s UNROUNDED Course Handicap ie(HI*slope/113)+CR-PAR and X60%

Take the lower handicapped player’s UNROUNDED Course Handicap ie(HI*slope/113)+CR-PAR and X40%

 If any of the players are using the Red Tees then add one.

Add the two together and round to give the TEAM PLAYING HANDICAP

  3. In Strokeplay  and Stableford events.  The team will receive the full PH . Strokes received will be the full Handicap Allowance as calculated in 2 above. Ties will be decided by countback of nett scores on back 9, back 6 , back 3, last hole successively. Thereafter one hole at a time starting at the first

3   In Matchplay Events, strokes given will be the difference of the Team Handicaps as calculated in 2 above, rounded to the nearest whole number. In the event of a match finishing square after then prescribed number of holes, and if a winner is required then play will continue from the first hole onwards until a hole is won.

4  In mixed tee events the competition will use the Yellow or White par and stroke indices.
