Competition Conditions (29)

Mixed Winter League Rules 2026

Entries:- Entry fee payable before first match.

Format:- Mixed Pairs Greensomes Matchplay (R&A Rules Apply)

Open to:- Men/Ladies pairs

Maximum Handicap Index:-                Men            25.8 

                                                        Junior boys 25.8     

                                                        Ladies          30.5

     Junior Girls  30.5 

Tees:- Men/Boys - Yellow.  Ladies/girls - Red 

Handicaps:-  Mixed tee allowance.- Ladies to receive +1  to her CH.

 Team playing handicaps to be calculated as 60% of the lower un-rounded Course Handicap plus 40% of the higher un-rounded Course Handicap. Teams will receive strokes amounting to the full DIFFERENCE in Rounded Team Handicaps.  Half strokes are to be rounded upwards. Strokes to be taken as indicated from the men's indices. 

Contact Details:- Players must enter their contact details on the draw sheet within two weeks of the draw being made.

Dates:- Matches to be played on the stipulated dates.  

Substitutes are allowed for one player only. This can occur for a maximum of 3 times over the event.

If a team is available or present on tee at the appointed time and their opponents are not, then the team in attendance will go through. If neither teams show the both will be eliminated unless the match has been conceded in which case the conceded team will receive a 3 & 2 win.

Winners of the tie must record their result on the draw sheet immediately after playing.

When the course is agreed to be not playable then play may be suspended (rule 5.7 ) either by:-

                    Agreement of all players that the course is unplayable

Or      By suspension by the Organising Committee

Or      by the occurrence of lightning

Play must be resumed as soon as is possible and by agreement of the Organising Committee.

 

Any match that has been conceded prior to the stipulated date will stand even if the course is closed on that date.

In the event that the course is closed, the round will be arranged on the reserve date if available otherwise all matches will be halved.
